For those of you that subscribed to the old podcast, this is the same episode one as before.  If you are new to this podcast, especially because it was easier to find, welcome!  The name of the blog and podcast pretty much sums it up:  I will be presenting in as many or few episodes the history of the United States, from its beginnings until the election of 2008.  While 2008 may seem like a distant memory at this point, it is still current enough that to go any further would be venturing into current events.  I hope you enjoy the podcast.  Any comments or suggestions are welcome as comments or e-mails.
